Composer Portrait Gallery A Directory of Composers for Organ Home Page

Over the last few years I have randomly collected a large number of composer images from the Internet. In the majority of cases I have no idea where these came from or who (if anybody) holds the copyright and so none are included in the book. A good number came from various national Music Information Centres - useful sources of composer information and from publisher's websites.  I offer these for viewing here out of interest to fellow musicians and apologise if so doing causes any offence to those composers who are living. Many of these composers may even seem surprised to find themselves listed as an "organ composer", but most have written at least one work for the instrument, either solo or with other instrument(s). The images vary considerably in quality and size.  Readers of the book will notice portraits of composers not mentioned in the 3rd Edition  -  biographical details of these will be added to this website in due course.
